Drug Store Nail Foils

So I popped into Super Drug and found some cute nail foils…. I have always been quite hesitant about using nail foils as they seem like an effort to put on.

They were really easy to use, all you need is a nail file, a hair dryer and clear nail polish.

1) Peel off the nail stickers and place on each nail.

2)Gently apply heat for 5 seconds to each nail and file off the excess stickers.

3)Coat with a clear nail polish.

Neon Sparkly Nails

The trick to a perfect manicure that will last is a great base coat and top coat. I love Barry M, OPI and Models own nail varnishes, they are vibrant and the colours are always popping or standing out!

Step 1: Great Base Coat

I have recently invested in the best base coat ever (seriously). OPI Nail Envy is one of the best purchases I have ever made, it strengths  your nails and I use it as a base coat before I apply any nail varnish. Constant use of acrylic nails damaged and left my nails thin and brittle. I have been using this for 3 weeks now and my nails are in great condition. Its pricey at £18 but defiantly worth it!

Step 2: Apply First Nail Colour

When using a bright neon colour I find its best to always use a white base coat. I used Barry M  Matt White, it’s great and you only need one coat.

(ignore the fading henna…. any errors can be corrected at the end with a cotton bud)

Step 3: Apply two coats of Models Own Luis Lemon

This needs two coats to ensure the colour looks popping.

Step 4: Apply the Gold glitter Barry M Polish

I normally apply 2 coats of this because its so light and the more glitter the better!

Step 5: Apply A HIGH GLOSS top coat

Voila!

Ciate Caviar Manicure

Selfridges have revamped their beauty department and have created an AMAZING destination area…. this includes some of my favourite high street make up brands including Topshop Make up, Paul & Joe Make up and the Hersheson Blow Dry bar and The Paint Shop.

The Paint Shop is my favourite place to be at the moment, I have been twice since it has opened… Nails Inc do express manicures for £19 and their speciality is the two week manicure!

I decided to test out the Ciate Caviar Manicure, you can either buy the kit for £18 or have the manicure for £19. I decided to just get the manicure encase I didn’t like it.

I was firstly told it would last a week but was incorrectly informed. The Ciate manicure only lasts between 24-48 hours!

I would defiantly book an appointment at the nails inc Paint Shop, they also do walk in appointments if you want to take a chance.

Nails Inc now have a new Bling it On manicure,it lasts for over a week! It looks amazing and if you look at the lady putting on the caviar beads you can have a quick peek!

The Paint Shop has other nail varnishes like Bourjois, Butter, Models Own and many more.

Have you had a caviar Manicure? What do you think?

Review

I love the manicure and it looks amazing but it chips so easily. They don’t recommend putting a clear top coat on but I decided too and the manicure has lasted for 4 days so far.

It feels extremely weird to have bumps on your nails and three nails so far have chipped!

I think for an occasion this would look amazing but it doesn’t last very long. I would recommend watching a youtube video of how to do this if you are attempting this yourself. Remember to do a base coat first, then apply your second coat of nail varnish, who the paint is wet pour the bead over and them gently push the beads in to secure the manicure!

Ciate also have a velvet manicure coming out soon! I will keep you posted!

Chanel Pop Up Store

Chanel Opened it’s first Pop Up store in July in Covent Garden. If you love beauty products and Chanel is your thing you must go as it’s open for only 6 months.

This small cute concept store is packed with goodies for every shade, popping nail colours and vibrant lip colours. I would recommend booking a 30 minute manicure or an hour make up lessons but book in advance to avoid disappointment.

I booked a 30 minute manicure for £20 which was redeemable on purchase.

So Friday at 3.30 I arrived in Covent Garden… excited  for a Chanel Manicure. I have had manicures at Nails Inc, spa’s and many random nail bars so my expectation were pretty high.

The lovely lady greeted me, I have a quick snoop around the store and was in AWE of Chanel Beauty land… everything looked so clean cut, the lighting was fun. The products were displayed immaculately and everything has such a luxury feeling.

So I walked downstairs were the nail bar and exclusive Chanel Fragrances were displayed.

The three colours on the tray were new exclusive colours that had not yet been released. The manicurist shaped my nails and discussed what colours I could go for…. after a quick delay I went for the grey nude shade called ‘Love Frenzy.’

After a 30 minute chat about beauty, boys and bags we went upstairs so I could spend my voucher. I loved this colour and debated between a lipstick and a nail polish.

After an hour in the Chanel Store I left with a Rouge Chanel Shine deep maroon Lipstick.

I have already booked in my 1 hour make up lessons. I would defiantly recommend this ladies, its a quick beauty fix, you are pampered and enjoy the luxury beauty products.

DIY-Why not try this yourself?

It’s not as hard as it looks…. firstly go to a bead shop or a craft store and look for the smallest beads you can find…I have checked some out on ebay and found 12 pots for only £7.

Tips:

1) Don’t forget to use a clear base coat

2)If you are using the rainbow bead mix, paint each nail a different bright colour

3)Don’t forget to press and wait at least 15 minutes before your nails dry

4) Add clear nail varnish to the tip of your nails for a longer lasting manicure

I have just ordered my beads…. pics will be uploaded when I have received the beads!
