Contouring and Highlighting

The whole point of make up is to enhance your natural features and when worn well it should look flawless.

I created this look by using my Real Technique buffering foundation brush and a variety of other different tools in my make up kit! Contouring and highlighting is one of my favourite parts of my makeup routine, it brings the whole look to life and can shape your face.

Highlighting: When putting makeup on your face we want to add light to areas that we want to make bigger or come out. Therefore we highlight the inner corner of our eyes to make them pop, have a lighter conceler  under the eyes and around the lips to make them look bigger.

Contouring: This is adding depth and shadows to the face to make certain dimensions and can potentially make things look smaller.

DSC02640I created this look using Maybelline’s FIT foundation, the texture is light with a medium coverage but is buildable. I normally use a MAC conceler but it’s not light enough for effect so I used the L’oreal coverage conceler. The coverage is great but the consistency is very sheer so its buildable. For a heavy coverage I wouldn’t recommend this product, I would recommend an Illamasqua conceler.
