More Pug Love

I literally can not tell you how much I want a pug….. yes I know dogs are hard work and the fact that I can’t even look after myself … it would be cruel to get a little puglet! The obsession started about 2 years ago … their ugly little squashed faces are adorable… you may think they are ugly but in fact they are the cutest things going!

They outshine all other dogs with their stumpy little legs and boogley eyes! I bet in about 15 years time I will become some sort of pug breader…. well we hope the world has more planned for me besides that! Maybe I will just get a pug… stop the moaning so he then can be incorporated on my travels with me and be posted all over my blog! If you do not like pugs…. well what can I say, this post may change your mind!

My makeup bag is a pug bag….I have pug jumpers… t shirts.. pyjamas…. I just really really want one!

Birthday Girl

I don’t even know where to start…… ok here we go…. firstly I gained a year…. Hopefully a year wiser as LJ (one of the bestie’s ) said! So I have set my self a few goals for the next year, which reflect more on my work life and exploring the world and building relationships with friends and just letting go.

When I was younger I had a ‘plan’…. that at this age I should be earning X amount…. potentially be in a long term relationship and be on the road to marriage! I totally sold myself short, why plan? It’s good to have a pathway but no deadlines… more like eventually I want to get married and have kids but I am in my early twenties… do I even know who I am? (I do now after a few defining moments in my life)!

What I am basically trying to say is that with everything we do … good … bad… whatever ……always learn from the situation because knowledge is power and with that power we can make better decisions and GROW!!! I think the whole point of us being here on this earth is to enjoy our lives, be goods people and grow! Meet new people, try new things… seriously you only live once so do something you haven’t done before! Also before we carry on the use of YOLO has been over used recently…. especially by some people…. and girls and boys who use this as an excuse to sleep around…. its not cool guys! (HASHTAG justsaying)

Ok so let’s get back to business… yes it was my birthday this weekend! Can I get a WHOOP WHOOP …. I had a relaxing day to get ready and pamper myself! Met the lovely ladies for dinner at Asia De Cuba and then had a little party party !

The day before my birthday…. I was dress-less…. I had two dresses in mind, the first one that arrived in the post looked terrible and made me look like a sack of potatoes… the second one from FCUK was way too booby and looked like their signature style.. I was over it… I was stressed… So I roamed around Oxford Street and found my dress FINALLY! I have named her the fire cracker, it looks like someone put a firecracker into a blender and then attacked the fireworks onto the dress! It was a statement dress… WAM BAM THANK YOU MAM….. I AM HERE LADIES…. YES IT’S MY BIRTHDAY ….. get the drift?

So welcome into my Birthday world… I will be posting a new video this week on my birthday makeup on my youtube channel!  Mummy got me the naked pallet 2 from Urban Decay so finally I was plastering that on for my birthday! The make up was a light smokey gold eye with gold glitter and bright pinky lips!

I ended up getting my dress from Topshop…. its from their Ragged Priest Section… I saw it and I couldn’t say no! I have an obsession with sparkly things… so it was a must!

My belt is from Primark…. I think its about £2 and it a great little belt that can be worn with everything to bring in your waist! 

Decisions … decisions… decisions…. what shoes to wear??

You lucky people get to have a glimpse inside one of my wardrobes… this is normally top secret! 

The Louboutin’s were amazing…. Super Woman hey! 

Is it just me … or shall I just say I am 21 from now on…. ???

What an eventful birthday….. the weekend ended with the day spent with the most important person in my life… the mother! I still can’t believe I am 24… in my head I am still 16 and in my heart I am still daddys little girl!

Also I would recommend if you are looking for a birthday dress and you want something unique… try smaller more niche brands ,,. my favourite brands at the moment are Aqua… black milk clothing and Zara! Lets go to the beach beach ….

So what better way to spend a Friday after work chilling on the beach… cocktails (well mocktails for me).. deck chairs… gossip and the sunshine! Camden beach at the roundhouse!!

The ASOS girlies and me rocked up on the beach.. i planned my ‘beach outfit’ ahead (not like some of us … cough cough bella)… the ladies had the drinks flowing.. orange juice (kids choice) did it for me!!

My fashionista friends looked FAB as always, Faye’s amazing sunglasses by Henry Holland were passed around and its a MUST BUY for any sunglasses lover…

It turned into quite an interesting evening after Bella shouted Magician and some randoms turned around… the randoms who then decided to take hostage of our space decided to act like 5 year old boys and literally ‘push the girl over in the sand’ to show that they liked her….

Yes some 21 whats-his face and his three muskerteers decided to attempt to charm us with their childish banter of ‘oo your such a douche back but your so cute’… elbowing me while nudging closer and my favourite.. he pulled my hair…

Can i just say to any man that likes a girl… if you follow the steps of pushing her, pulling her hair and then saying she is cute you will either end up with a black eye or a polite ‘piss off’… seriously ladies why do men think that if they are mean it will make women fall for them.

After what his face got told to stop being such a prat he looked sad and said ‘I’m sad i made you sad it was just playful banter’…. Honestly no one is sad except them …. they quickly left and we carried on enjoying our girly sandy beach experience.

You must go just because its so odd to be in a beach in the middle of camden, try the frozen slush cocktails and if you are really lucky you will get a Jeremiah Weed T shirt!

Hair Update: So ‘Bleach- Topshop’ said the colour would last 10-12 washes, the pink washed out in 2 washes and the purple is now blue… What do you think? I feel like i am turning into my little pony…

Being a Lady…… it’s not as easy as it looks….

I’M A LADYYYYY

I think men must think its so easy being a woman…. looking pretty and apparently we get ‘things’ easier in life…. not really sure what that means… maybe a free cocktail every once and a while but thats about it…

If you are a woman I must say … yes i love it… but no its not the easiest job in the world.. I am not a man who just roles out of bed… has a quick shower .. a shave if they have the time and nice suit and they are gone…

 

Oooo how i wish I could role out of my bed, have a quick shower, jump into a suit and go… NO NO NO … LET ME TELL YOU .. it is not easy…

Why do you think the beauty industry is worth a fortune …. because we are told to be a certain way.. Take a step back… women’s magazines are full of ladies with luscious locks of hair …. amazing outfits…. celebrities… people with fantabolous street style… yes you are cool if you are in a magazine…

Realistically you are setting us up to all fail… no I am not a size zero and YES i love cake… i would prefer cake over breakfast and over lunch ( I’m not 20 st) but hey who doesn’t love a bit of cake….. The conversation we ladies discuss … ‘what size are you’ … well I am a ‘size 8’ and realistically that conversation can get nasty very quickly…

Its all just so confusing… we all want to be ‘naturally’ beautiful but you need glossy silky freshly cut hair that bounces… does your hair bounce when you walk?? (mine doesn’t)…. We need sparkly white teeth… have beautiful skin and just look like the models…. THAT IS HARD!!

If you are lucky enough to be blessed with a model figure, have beautiful skin, teeth… and are just the bomb then lucky you … but i think the 99% have to make an effort!

I see ladies counting the calories.. and ‘oh no I can’t have a treat i’ll get fat’.. when realistically they need the treat cause they haven’t eaten chocolate in 3 weeks and are on some stupid faddy dukan diet… which I must say make you extremely angry!

The point I’m trying to get across here is this is my routine when i wake up compared to a man’s.. shower… brush my teeth etc… wash my hair….. dry my hair…. style my hair…. choose my outfit depending on my mood… check the weather to ensure my outfit is appropriate ( don’t want my pins out when its going to rain)…put on my make up… don’t even have time for breakfast and then I’m gone…

As woman we are expected to look good… and yes we have to take pride in our appearance… but lets not forget that all these amazing celebrities that we see who are a size 8… beautiful skin and make up … THEY have a make up artist… a personal trainer… someone to tell them what to wear… eat… where to go… and we see a glimpse!

All it takes is that glimse and a headline ‘ i lost 5 lb by eating junk food’ and then we all go and eat junk food and get fatter…… ( seriously this was a headline by Gary ‘walkers advert’ wife … can’t remember her name!! What I am trying to say is men look at magazine and see woman photoshop-ed …. big boobs… tanned skin.. skinny belly.. whatever their preference when come on….. this just isn’t fair!

Yes I am having a little moan but if you are a man and you stumble across this post.. … and your lucky enough to have a girlfriend … she slaps that make up on to look good and rubs in her fake tan (don’t agree with) … whatever her beauty regime she’s making an effort!!! SO TELL HER SHE LOOKS AMAZING …. and mean it !! AND BUY HER FLOWERS

Realistically if I wake up tomorrow, role out of bed… shower and leave  with no make up… hair like a lion… i wouldn’t be allowed on public transport … this is me …

The moral of the story is we pluck…. wax.. pout.. straight out hair… take hours to get ready (depending on the occasion) … to look good for ourselves and sometimes… only sometimes to get that special person to notice us!
