The Wedding … YAY

Finally my brother had his Islamic wedding over the weekend and it was beautiful. I have been to many different weddings but this was the most important wedding to me! I love my brother so much and I never give him enough credit, but I was so happy to see him on this special day. You know sometimes in life we get so caught up in the materialistic stuff and we realise that all we need is love. On this day we celebrated two people falling in love and focusing on a future together. Marriage is such a beautiful thing, one day I want to get married to someone amazing that treats me well, respects me, is my friend, partner, everything and I want to celebrate life. We stress as a society so much about what we need to achieve at this age and that age but go with the flow, spread positivity and it will serve you well!

 

 

My brothers suit is a typical asian outfit and I am such a proud sister, he looked so good and I called him Aladdin the whole day. On days like this it makes me truly appreciate life and being surrounded by the people I love. 

 

I am totally in love with my super sparkly designer outfit if I say so myself, I searched for this for ages and when I saw it …. it called out to me and said BUY ME SKEENA…. THIS IS THE OUTFIT! After trying it on I immediately fell in love! 

The beautiful couple, I am in awe of this picture… so cute! I love you both very much, I have a new sister YAY and my brother has turned into a husband! (damn I feel old)

 

 

 

I asked my friend to take the camera to take a few snaps of the whole fam, when I saw this pic it brought a tear to my eye. We missed someone so special on this day but he was there in spirit!

 

 

 

The wedding cake… each tier was a different flavour! Yummy…. I had a slither because I am high on the gym at the moment so trying to get this booty into shape! 

 

I can’t explain to you how heavy this outfit was, I had to take a seat on the steps and mummy snapped this shot!

I am just so happy at this point in my life, there are so many things that are changing and I am so happy. Everything happens for a reason and a few things are shifting into the right direction. The Wedding Part 1

My brother got married at the weekend, it was a beautiful emotional ceremony and part one of their wedding celebrations. I can’t wait for the big sparkly asian wedding in August. Take a peek into my world and have a look at what I got up too. It’s lovely to see that love conquers all, everyone was so happy and cheerful and it makes you realise what is really important in this world. I wore my new pretty green dress which is from Miss Selfridges, I have a new video coming out this week on what to wear to a wedding! I painted my nails neon yellow from models own, curled my locks and went for the au natural make up look…. What do you think? Love? Hate? ….. I will also be creating this look on my channel in the next few weeks! Check out the fashionistas at the wedding…. I have to say everyone looked ‘dapper’!

The wedding cake and love biscuits, the theme of the wedding was purple my brother wore a purple bow tie and my sister in law wore a purple asian outfit and looked beautiful! I am very lucky to have invested in a new family member and best friend. I love you za za!

I changed to something more casual in the evening, my maxi dress is from HnM! It’s so beautiful to see my brother getting married, I am very happy for the couple and hopefully one day I find someone I love and can share that moment with… until them my love is my family and my little world! Remember it’s the little things in this world that count! Don’t get caught up in the materialistic world, life is what we make it and surround yourself with good positive people that bring the best out in you!

Quick and Easy Hair Up Do For Proms & Weddings

Ladies I am tired of having my hair in a bun so I have been looking at other ways to put my hair up and I created this super cute hair style. It’s so easy to do and all you need is a full head band that is elasticated. They have lots on ASOS at the moment or why not try and do this hair style and add a flowery head band on top. At the moment I have a little thing for RockNRose, their collection is amazing and I will be wearing some bits from them for the up and coming festivals.

Spring in my Step

Finally we have some nice weather in London and I had a quick rummage through my summer wardrobe and found my favourite maxi dress from last year! It’s bright, vibrant and makes me happy… colours have an affect on my mood so when the sun is shining I will be wearing the brightest colours possible… if not you will find me in black!

My dress is from H&M (last year) and my jewellery is from ASOS (currently online)… I am feeling a bit weird today but I believe that when life gives you lemons… make the best damn lemonade you can! Remember that everything happens for a reason and we are always learning, my mum tells me to this day that she still has life lessons to learn! Smile… live your life and focus on you!

Favourite Beauty Products of 2012

As a self confessed beauty addict I have always been willing to try many different make up brands…. the cheap ones, the expensive ones …. the natural products…. the organic ones… the oil free products…. I have tried Superdrugs own brand products and Boots…. I don’t judge by the label or price all I want them to do is look and make me feel fabulous! If they don’t them I will openly let you know if I think its a waste of money or an investment!

This video is a tad long but I go through my favourite haircare and skin care products! I have focused on what keeps my GHD curls in place for a few days, my favourite skin care products that have reduced my blemishes and left my skin feeling refreshed.

Hair Care: I have recently try to train my hair to be washed twice a week to stop it from becoming greasy quickly, I like to curl and style my hair and make it last a few days. The video shows some of my favourite Moroccan oils without breaking the bank balance.

Skin Care:  I wear makeup every day; unless I don’t leave my house so skin care products are very important to me and finding the right combination for my skin. For the past year I have used tea tree based products and more natural ingredients on my skin. Since I have been breaking out over the last 6 months more than usual I have invested in my favourite skin care product of all time…. it’s from dermatalogica!

Jewellery… sparkle ….WOW

My weakness is jewellery…. I most probably was some sort of magpie in a previous life! I LOVE shiny things, I could dazzle in jewels all day and the more the better! I love a statement necklace, a blinging ring and get some sort of buzz when someone goes  ‘i love your jewellery’…. at one point I looked into creating my own brand but it wasn’t the time for me! I hope you like my jewellery collection… I have bits from moschino, primark, burberry, forever 21, river island, ASOS, Mikey, Mawi, Accessorize…. When I say I LOVE jewellery …. I am not joking! If you have an up and coming jewellery brand …. send me the link! I love jewellery that is sparkly, something that makes me laugh! 

 

Statement jewellery makes an outfit, it can literally transform your whole look! I always take a sneek peek in H&M!

I love the evil eye in jewellery.. it’s so beautiful.. I was recently given a beautiful present from family and I have not taken it off since!

This is a small part of my jewellery collection… I have a few boxes still to unpack but I love love love JEWELLERY… THE more the better! I want to invest in a Tatty Devine necklace!

 

 

I got this super cute statement elephant necklace from Topshop about 8 years ago and still wear it to this day! Every time I wear it someone asks me where its from! WOOP 

Just a few of my bangles… in my other room I have my bangles stacked up on a rack so they don’t get damaged!

My mummy gave me these cute vintage earrings… they remind me a bit of Pat Butcher from Eastenders but with an elegant dress, hair up these beauties should dazzle! 

 

I managed to pick up this AMAZING crop body top in Topshop…. bejewelled and a statement piece! 

 

I love ethnic prints in jewellery, lots of chains like MR T, spikes and studs like a punk rocker! 

 

I love body jewellery… Fannie Schivonie is a genius! I have quite a few jewellery braces! I love love love LEATHER jewellery aswell, and jewellery braces or harness! Jewellery in your hair, ear cuffs, anklets! I love it all!!!

Happy New Year ….

Happy New Year and welcome to 2013! I am so glad 2012 is over… remember one door closes and 5 open! Look back on the last year… what do you want to change? What do you want to achieve? Set your self some goals and change your attitude towards life…. DREAM….. BELIEVE…….ACHIEVE!!

My new years eve was amazing… my amazing cousin/twin came down from NYC and we were spoilt for a lovely week living like princess’s in London town! Life is what you make it…. it’s about being around the people you love and doing what you love! I was fortunate enough to have great people around me and going to a great places! My year ended with a bang….. I have rocketed into 2013 with a new mind set, new strategy on life and a kick ass attitude! **HI-FIVE**

For New Years eve we went to The Arts Club on Dover Street…. it was beautiful, the food was amazing and all of a sudden the clock struck 12 and we were dancing away into January!

So the Twin wore the cutest little dress from Topshop, the brand is Jones and Jones. They have been making these cute sticky out dresses for quite a while, their signature style is a high neck, low back, fitted waist and sticky under skirt! This dress looked stunning on and with simple accessories can really create an impact!

My gorgeous blue dress was from Topshop… I have been eyeing up this floor length gown for quite a while and we found these two beauties at around 4pm on New Years Eve… it was a stress at first but after a few hours in Topshop on Oxford Circus we found the treasure! 

I am literally falling in this photo…. not sure why I was smiling maybe because I was so happy 2012 was over! 

I went for a heavy glitter smokey eye… to get this look check out my up and coming beauty channel on youtube! It was so easy to do and lasted the whole night!

Remember this is YOUR year… you are writing the future and don’t let anyone else do it for you! Take control, kick ass and make yourself proud ladies!

Wishes and dreams can come true but all it takes is some dedicate and a direction and you will get there! Don’t give up, pursue your dream and do what makes YOU happy!

Sometimes we have to make mistakes to make us into the people we are today!

Just kick back, enjoy, smile, life is too short to hold grudges! Love the people that love you and LIVE YOUR LIFE!

The Lady In Red

Birthday Girl

I don’t even know where to start…… ok here we go…. firstly I gained a year…. Hopefully a year wiser as LJ (one of the bestie’s ) said! So I have set my self a few goals for the next year, which reflect more on my work life and exploring the world and building relationships with friends and just letting go.

When I was younger I had a ‘plan’…. that at this age I should be earning X amount…. potentially be in a long term relationship and be on the road to marriage! I totally sold myself short, why plan? It’s good to have a pathway but no deadlines… more like eventually I want to get married and have kids but I am in my early twenties… do I even know who I am? (I do now after a few defining moments in my life)!

What I am basically trying to say is that with everything we do … good … bad… whatever ……always learn from the situation because knowledge is power and with that power we can make better decisions and GROW!!! I think the whole point of us being here on this earth is to enjoy our lives, be goods people and grow! Meet new people, try new things… seriously you only live once so do something you haven’t done before! Also before we carry on the use of YOLO has been over used recently…. especially by some people…. and girls and boys who use this as an excuse to sleep around…. its not cool guys! (HASHTAG justsaying)

Ok so let’s get back to business… yes it was my birthday this weekend! Can I get a WHOOP WHOOP …. I had a relaxing day to get ready and pamper myself! Met the lovely ladies for dinner at Asia De Cuba and then had a little party party !

The day before my birthday…. I was dress-less…. I had two dresses in mind, the first one that arrived in the post looked terrible and made me look like a sack of potatoes… the second one from FCUK was way too booby and looked like their signature style.. I was over it… I was stressed… So I roamed around Oxford Street and found my dress FINALLY! I have named her the fire cracker, it looks like someone put a firecracker into a blender and then attacked the fireworks onto the dress! It was a statement dress… WAM BAM THANK YOU MAM….. I AM HERE LADIES…. YES IT’S MY BIRTHDAY ….. get the drift?

So welcome into my Birthday world… I will be posting a new video this week on my birthday makeup on my youtube channel!  Mummy got me the naked pallet 2 from Urban Decay so finally I was plastering that on for my birthday! The make up was a light smokey gold eye with gold glitter and bright pinky lips!

I ended up getting my dress from Topshop…. its from their Ragged Priest Section… I saw it and I couldn’t say no! I have an obsession with sparkly things… so it was a must!

My belt is from Primark…. I think its about £2 and it a great little belt that can be worn with everything to bring in your waist! 

Decisions … decisions… decisions…. what shoes to wear??

You lucky people get to have a glimpse inside one of my wardrobes… this is normally top secret! 

The Louboutin’s were amazing…. Super Woman hey! 

Is it just me … or shall I just say I am 21 from now on…. ???

What an eventful birthday….. the weekend ended with the day spent with the most important person in my life… the mother! I still can’t believe I am 24… in my head I am still 16 and in my heart I am still daddys little girl!

Also I would recommend if you are looking for a birthday dress and you want something unique… try smaller more niche brands ,,. my favourite brands at the moment are Aqua… black milk clothing and Zara!
