Winter Wish List

As I am getting older my taste in fashion has become slightly more refined. I still love my impulse buys with the fast fashion trends but over the Autumn Winter Season I prefer to invest in quality fashion that is timeless with structured cuts but also looks super FAB!

I stumbled into Reiss the other days and in my head I already spent my next pay cheque. I need that orange winter coat… ooooh maybe two…. one casual and one more formal…. I need a few shirts to wear with my leather skirt and tights and also need a few new accessories… the list goes on! I have bought a few things over the years from Reiss and the quality is still pretty much brand new and every time I pull one of my last season dresses out people always ask me where it’s from. I love to mix old season and new season, keep it fresh yet bring in my own style! Check out some of the key pieces I want to invest in this season…. let me know which ones you will be buying and help me choose mine! I would recommend buying a statement colour coat, colourful knits to layer with, invest in a evening dress for the up and coming parties….. So many options… so little time!

This Seasons Coat

It’s coming up to winter… the skies will be grey (the reality of living in London)…. but brighten up your day to day with this statement coat! I love colour especially in winter… I prefer winter clothes over summer as you can spot the true fashionistas a mile away.

This coat is a straight cut statement piece and an investment piece for season after season for £295.

The Day to Night Dress

This season we all need that dress that we can wear at work or during the day and add a few accessories and be ready for the evening. This easy neo black lace dress with it’s navy panels and body con fit will look casual during the day with a pair of tights, add an oversized jumper or a casual jacket with cute ankle boots. For the evening wear sheer tights or no tights, add heels, red lips and a leather jacket and a statement necklace and your ready for the night! You can’t beat a day to night dress this season… you never know who might ask you out for dinner! Hehe…

A Dash of Sparkle 

Sparkle…. there can never be enough, this piece I am totally in love with! I would buy this jumper one or two sizes bigger to get that oversized look and wear it with either skinny jeans or thick black tights and cute ankle boots. Rock this with a leather jacket or a fitted suit jacket. I really need this and it midi sleeves, for the evening time I would rock this again super oversized with cute heels and smokey eyes and nude lips!

The sparkle is the main focus, so muted neutral lips and a smokey eye would give it a rocker look but still easy to wear. For the day rock with jeans and cute shoes or even converse… it depends how comfortable you are rocking sparkle! I always love wearing something pretty it makes me feel better…. trust me retail therapy is the new therapy ladies! Don’t you love this?

Jacket Madness

I think I own about 50 jackets… I can’t stop buying them. I have two black leather jackets but one is studded and the other one is pretty plain. Leather can be worn throughout the season, rock it with jeans, during the night… whenever they always look good.  This leather jacket reminds me of a bomber jacket… which is totally on trend this season. I really really want this, its slightly pricey but it’s an investment piece. Remember when buying goods you want them to last over the next few seasons. Quality over quantity guys.

The Statement Shirt 

You need that shirt that is easy to wear but my goodness does it make a statement. I literally saw this in store and was thinking… I could rock this with my leather skirt… with skinnies! Try it with my hair up and red lips with jeans or during the evening with a structure pair of shorts and smokey eyes. I always have to image myself in the outfit before I buy it… where would I wear this? How would I rock this? I love this…. maybe one of my favourite pieces from their collection this season. It’s so pretty …….

Accessories Yourself Girl

This season croc embossed leather is the bomb-diggity! Everything is croc croc and more croc, this cute little side bag in nude can be worn during the evening and rocked in the summer as well! Make good investments ladies and you will look a million dollars!

I think I know what I will be buying next week… hopefully all of these goodies over the next few weeks and a new red lipstick. Whats on your WISHLIST ladies?

It’s 28’c …. in London…

The sun has been shining all week and I have managed to get a tan…a very small tan to say the least…. however this NEVER happens in London so hopefully by writing this super happy post it won’t jinx it and start raining again!

The past weekend I managed to have a picnic, go boating in hyde park, attempt to  skate board, record my first vlog and buy a wedding outfit for my brothers asian wedding! A fun packed weekend with the sun shining has made me reconsider living in London. I want the sun to shine everyday, I want to feel the heat and have you noticed how  everyone is so much happier! I think maybe Dubai? NYC… I need a beach so maybe LA… maybe somewhere in Europe… I am not actually sure yet but I know that I am young… it’s my life.. my story and it’s time to explore!

Sometimes I feel we are so bound by societies structure to do this and that…. it’s your life… explore… travel… educated yourself by the cultures of the world! Embraces each others differences and learn! We should be learning something new everyday, stop sticking to what you know and find out something knew! This whole planet is for us to explore but we are so comfortable in our cocoon …..

The new vlog will be out at the end of the week and you can see how LJ (Lauren… one of my best friends) spend our time together!

I am always on the look for a new brand, something different with it’s own vibe! I can’t stand generic brands that filter the catwalk trends to their customers! I want something original and I found it…. FINALLY!

If you love shoes you are going to love Terry De Havilland, known as the ‘Rock and Roll Cobbler’ he is back with his exclusive store just off of Carnaby Street! Vibrant, full of colours, beautifully made with statement prints- and some of them even glow in the dark!

The SS13 collection stands for indulging, indulging in one’s love for pop art. With the charm of a Roy Lichtenstein painting and the visual stimulation of a Technicolor film, Terry De Havilland  is easy to wear and brightens up any outfit.

I need these shoes in my life… think its time to make an investment! I have a thing for cobalt blue shoes!

Perspex Party!

The perfect accessory for any fashionista, the perspex accessory is the latest way to transform your wardrobe into this season. Bright colours, double prints, clever tailoring and layering can make your high street outfit look designer.

Remember to have a strong eye for detail, at the moment I am on the hunt for a perspex bag or clutch! A lot of ‘practical’ women will most probably be thinking.. why would I want someone to see whats in my purse? This is a statement purse and this perspex/transparent trend is going global, shoes, accessories and even clothing!

Shorouk are one of my favourite jewellery brands, their statement pieces are embellished with the craziest coloured Swarovski crystals and they create the most intricate head turning pieces. The glamorous bibs, rings and earrings have a modern twist by combining twisted rope and PVC as their main base. The brands reminds me of arabian glamour with an Edwardian feel. They have recently developed the most beautiful bags I have ever seen, cute handbags embellishes with jewellery.

I had a quick look on Etsy.com and found some interesting handmade perspex clutches! This super cool clutch has a gold embellished plate on the front and costs $85 dollars but there is only one available. 

Mnologie on Etsy have their own personalised perspex clutches where you can have your name engraved.

You can buy a clear plain oversized clutch for only $38 which would be about £20!

Goodbye savings… Hello Chanel

…. I can’t help it… I’m getting older and my taste is getting more expensive! When I was 5 I was happy with a happy meal and the latest Barbie….now I strive for Chanel on a Zara budget… so yes ……reality has hit me……it’s not happening unless it’s an investment piece! (In this case it is!)

I shop everywhere and I have said it a million times but… it’s not what you wear its how you wear it! I feel that you should invest in 3 designer/good quality items…. shoes… handbags (plural because one is never enough)…. and a jacket or coat!  

This morning on my way to work I was flocking through tumblr and BOOM…. there it was…. BUY ME (that little money spending demon in my head)…. ‘buy me … this would look amazing…. you have to get it….’ Then the saving angel fights back …’ you don’t need them… it’s just a black pair of trainers… your wearing black limited edition converse… don’t be silly’

The spending demon laughs, ‘don’t be so ridiculous… have you seen these shoes? They will be an investment piece’ …. So yes two sides of my brain were having a full blown conversation and I didn’t actually say a word but I know at this point in time I am undecided.

I can’t get this from an ordinary trainer… we both know that! They are just so beautiful… LIKE WOW!!! It’s not even the fact that they are Chanel, they could be Zara but the roses are so pretty! An elegant chic trainer! I might invest if they aren’t ridiculously expensive….if anyone has the link online please send it to me! I have been on the site and nothing… will be ringing the head office tomorrow!

Birthday Girl

I don’t even know where to start…… ok here we go…. firstly I gained a year…. Hopefully a year wiser as LJ (one of the bestie’s ) said! So I have set my self a few goals for the next year, which reflect more on my work life and exploring the world and building relationships with friends and just letting go.

When I was younger I had a ‘plan’…. that at this age I should be earning X amount…. potentially be in a long term relationship and be on the road to marriage! I totally sold myself short, why plan? It’s good to have a pathway but no deadlines… more like eventually I want to get married and have kids but I am in my early twenties… do I even know who I am? (I do now after a few defining moments in my life)!

What I am basically trying to say is that with everything we do … good … bad… whatever ……always learn from the situation because knowledge is power and with that power we can make better decisions and GROW!!! I think the whole point of us being here on this earth is to enjoy our lives, be goods people and grow! Meet new people, try new things… seriously you only live once so do something you haven’t done before! Also before we carry on the use of YOLO has been over used recently…. especially by some people…. and girls and boys who use this as an excuse to sleep around…. its not cool guys! (HASHTAG justsaying)

Ok so let’s get back to business… yes it was my birthday this weekend! Can I get a WHOOP WHOOP …. I had a relaxing day to get ready and pamper myself! Met the lovely ladies for dinner at Asia De Cuba and then had a little party party !

The day before my birthday…. I was dress-less…. I had two dresses in mind, the first one that arrived in the post looked terrible and made me look like a sack of potatoes… the second one from FCUK was way too booby and looked like their signature style.. I was over it… I was stressed… So I roamed around Oxford Street and found my dress FINALLY! I have named her the fire cracker, it looks like someone put a firecracker into a blender and then attacked the fireworks onto the dress! It was a statement dress… WAM BAM THANK YOU MAM….. I AM HERE LADIES…. YES IT’S MY BIRTHDAY ….. get the drift?

So welcome into my Birthday world… I will be posting a new video this week on my birthday makeup on my youtube channel!  Mummy got me the naked pallet 2 from Urban Decay so finally I was plastering that on for my birthday! The make up was a light smokey gold eye with gold glitter and bright pinky lips!

I ended up getting my dress from Topshop…. its from their Ragged Priest Section… I saw it and I couldn’t say no! I have an obsession with sparkly things… so it was a must!

My belt is from Primark…. I think its about £2 and it a great little belt that can be worn with everything to bring in your waist! 

Decisions … decisions… decisions…. what shoes to wear??

You lucky people get to have a glimpse inside one of my wardrobes… this is normally top secret! 

The Louboutin’s were amazing…. Super Woman hey! 

Is it just me … or shall I just say I am 21 from now on…. ???

What an eventful birthday….. the weekend ended with the day spent with the most important person in my life… the mother! I still can’t believe I am 24… in my head I am still 16 and in my heart I am still daddys little girl!

Also I would recommend if you are looking for a birthday dress and you want something unique… try smaller more niche brands ,,. my favourite brands at the moment are Aqua… black milk clothing and Zara! This is Furrrrtastic

I have become slightly obsessed with fur…. I want a massive fur coat that looks amazing and keeps me warm! I have been to a few vintage markets and found some cute pieces but I want some luxe.. something BAM something wow without getting paint thrown over me!

I do wear fur but it’s vintage & from my grandparents so I hope I haven’t offended anyone! (Basically don’t judge me ….) anyway I think fur looks amazing and styled correctly can literally make or break an outfit! Check out some of the inspirational Fur street style pics! If you really are against fur go for the faux fur option, it still looks pretty amazing!

I adore this patchwork coloured fur jacket, it looks amazing, its bright, popping, OUT THERE!

My favourite fur is mongolian fur it looks AMAZING, for some reason I want to cuddle it! haha yes that sounds crazy but so what!

I have a fur Gillet from Zara, I got it last year and its beautiful and in great condition. This winter I am looking to invest in some vintage fox fur and maybe another fur gilet! I found this amazing website for fur coats and gilets, check out Hockley London, they have amazing fur accessories and beautiful coats!

I found most of these images on Tumblr and welovefur , I hope you like this post, I was sceptical about posting about fur because I know a lot of people are against it! I only have vintage fur and have only bought vintage fur .. except my purchase from Zara which was sheepskin!

Worth The Wait…

Last year I spotted a lady with some amazing rain boots, I think they were Givenchy or Jimmy Choo but I needed them! At that time in my life I was a student and it would of been ridiculous to justify spending that much money on rain boots… I have been thinking about  it for an obscene amount of time … excuse my language and finally I gave in! I had a look in a few stores and then I saw them…..(que the music)…..the people around me blurred out…. it was like I feel in love all over again! It might sound pathetic to some but I wanted them so badly and I have been thinking about this since AW11….. now thats saying something!

This was a very special treat from me to me! Don’t forget it nots what you wear its how you wear it! I shop in Primark, Matalan, Zara… wherever! If it looks good and is worth the price make the investment! Create your own style, don’t follow the trends interpret them and make them your own!
